All I care about is capturing moments that matter — to me and hopefully to the people I’m working with. I don’t work with photographic rules per se; I don’t hanker after the latest and greatest equipment (in no small part because I can’t). Heck, I even use automatic white balance *gasp!*. But it’s not because I don’t care about the technicalities or the product. Rather it’s because to me, photography is really about being in the right place at the right time, and using everything I have with me to capture that fleeting moment so that we can all look back and smile. And when I do that, I lose myself in the moment: technicalities disappear in the face of running after moments. So if I have to choose an adjective to describe myself as a photographer, so that you know, it’s easier, I’d call myself a moments photographer.
